I’ve got my new King Kutter II 5ft tiller attached to my tractor which is loaded onto my trailer and ready for Friday’s trip to the deer property. I’m checking the tie downs and notice a little gear oil on my trailer. It appears some gear oil is oozed out where the rotor assembly goes into some sort of hub which connects to the side gearbox. Have any of you KK Tiller owners experience this? The outboard hub assembly, on the opposite side, has a grease fitting. When I filled it up, grease oozed out about the same place as the gear oil oozed on the other side. Is this normal or does this tiller have a seal problem?

Sounds like a seal problem to me too, or the lack of one. Since it's new (read: under warranty??) I'd run it and see what happens. Bring some carb cleaner and clean it off when it gets dirty. It may go away, but not likely. ....

More impotant then the cleaner although important make sure you have some extra oil on hand so you might be able to still complete the job. ....
